1000m races will be over the middle thousand and 500m
races will begin at the 1000m mark going down the course unless weather
conditions are such that a race organizer must make a change.
Floating starts will be used.
Start and finish will be by horn.
All crews must have at least 4 (four) females rowing
in the boat and a recreation league “designated coxie”. Crews must use their
designated coxies at all times.
Only current registered league rowers are eligible to
row in the crew or spare boat on race nights.
Boats will be assigned on race nights.
POINTS AND SCORING
Enrollment will determine the size of the crews. It
will be up to the Captain and Coach to get the members out to practices and
races. All crews must be composed of members of their teams with no
substitutions allowed. (Unless there are not enough members to make up a
crew). Changes are to be made ONLY by the race organizers.
Awards will be given according to the finish for the
final race of each session.
If the final race of the session is “washed out”,
final standings and total points will be based on the previous weeks race
results and accumulated points total.
The Overall Award will be given to the team attaining
the highest accumulation of points over the entire race session. Points will
be awarded as follows:
Races with 4

Any crew violating any of the rules may have their
position in that particular race changed by the race organizers. (Example:
Downgrade the result of the crews’ position in that particular race and the
points that match the new result).
There will not be any “re-rows” for any reason. Any
questions concerning racing/points must be directed to the League Organizers
immediately after the races on the race in question. Crews are expected to
be in their boats and off the dock by scheduled race time (fully crewed).
“Late” crews will be warned by the Dock Cop to hasten their row to the
starting line. (Remember, there is beer and food waiting for everyone after
the races).
