Rec Rowing League
Light exercise, lots of laughs, and friendly racing on the Henley Course. The Rec Rowing League is for members who row for fun, not finish lines.
Indoor Winter Training
From November to March, SCRC trains indoors at the Neil Campbell Rowing Centre, with the opportunity to train on the water, weather permitting. Open to all ages and abilities for $75 per month. Find the schedule, registration, and program contacts on the Winter Training page.
Row for fun, not finish lines
If you’ve never rowed, or never rowed in our Recreational League, no experience is necessary. The League offers a little exercise, lots of entertainment, and great relaxation on the Henley Course. Members are out for fun; competition is secondary. Sign up individually or with a few friends. Certified coaches are provided by the League and expect to be teaching novice rowers - no need to be intimidated.
Coaches expect to teach novices - no need to feel intimidated. Just show up and you’ll learn.
Join Session 1 (Jun-Jul), Session 2 (Aug-Sept), or both. Pick what fits your summer plans.
Sign up solo and we’ll find you a crew, or grab a few friends and register together.
The Rec Rowing League sets and collects its own fees through stcatharinesrecrowing.com. Head there for current pricing and to register.
Three steps to your spot
New rowers need a Rowing Canada Aviron (RCA) account before their first session. Set one up at membership.rowingcanada.org — it takes 5 minutes. The one-time $76.50 RCA + Row Ontario fee runs April 1 through March 31 the following year (not 12 months from your registration date), so a new fee applies each March 31. Already a current SCRC member? Skip to step 1.
Register on the Rec Rowing League site
The Rec Rowing League runs its own registration, fees, and scheduling at stcatharinesrecrowing.com. Pick your session and sign up there.
